While fond memories of our 98th Anniversary celebrations remain with us, the excitement generated by the activities which marked the milestone has long since subsided. However, for two of our customers, David Smitten and Shurrene Phillips, of #30 Enterprise Christ Church and #187 Neptune Close, Coles Terrace, St Philip, respectively, the thrill continues and the celebration lives on. Indeed, they will most likely remember June 17, 2009, as their lucky day and certainly, one which enhanced their connectivity to the World Wide Web.
As part of our anniversary celebrations, Customer Appreciation Day was held on Wednesday, June 17 and, as they have in previous years, customers doing business with us on that day were treated to tokens of appreciation and were given the opportunity to interact with members of staff who gave lessons in meter reading, offered advice on energy efficiency and, on this occasion, promoted our new Web Self Service (WSS) feature, which will soon be a part of our recently revamped website. When the WSS feature becomes operational, customers will be able to view their bills online, check their electricity usage and payment history, change their personal information and submit meter readings. Persons doing business with us on Customer Appreciation Day were also invited to enter a draw for a grand prize of a Netbook, which will no doubt come in handy, especially when the time comes to access their electricity bills through our WSS facility.
